Sunnyside Gardens, Queens

The project involves designing a building that will be utilized by eight people who have just graduated from college and are starting their personal and professional lives. The location was decided upon as a vacant property in Queens' Sunnyside Gardens neighborhood. The area is well known for having a mix of low and mid-rise dwellings that was created with lots of open space and charming tree-lined streets. The living hall, dining room, kitchen, and various auxiliary facilities will be shared by the eight tenants. An important goal is to link the program areas to the ground plane and the garden area.
