Accord, NY masterplan
Global, national, and regional business and trade activities have improved the lives for billions of people, but at great cost to the planet and countless lives depending on it. However, the negative consequences of human activities are invisible to many of us in our everyday lives. Vital infrastructure that keeps our communities running are today peripheral activities that are out of sight and out of mind. The way we structure our cities and neighborhoods promotes a global lifestyle with very limited overlap and understanding of sourcing, production, sanitation, logistics etc. Are there ways to change the relationship between the vital systems of society, cities, neighborhoods, buildings, and people that can result in a better world for people and the planet?
